Team Ash Ketchum

Made the line art 3 years ago while waiting for the Ash vs Alain kalos league final battle episode. Then the writers when ahead and shat all over the entire fanbase's excitement with a garbage finale and I lost all of my motivation to finish this. Hence there are no alola pokemon in this team. For me the anime ended with XY so I wouldn't have included the alola mons anyway.

5 of the 6 members of this team basically select themselves. Swellow had to compete with Heracross, Snorlax, Goodra, Staraptor and Krookodile for the final spot. The final team is based on their performances and impact in the anime canon and not based on actual competitive viability.
